Former Monaco striker Emmanuel Adebayor has finally left Arsenal to Manchester City for a fe about 25 million pounds. At the time of filing this report, the reason for his switch to the club is unclear but in a recent declaration, he said that he did not move to Manchester City because of money. His claim is worrisome based on the fact that Manchester City has recently been buying more strikers which might eventually leave him on the bench in most cases when the season begins in some weeks time. At Arsenal, the competition wouldn't have been stiffer like at City.
On the Arsenal angle, they must have sold Adebayor to City because of the money, calling to mind that they bought him for 3 million and now selling him for 25 million, is more than satisfactory from the business point of view.
Meanwhile, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has made a formal declaration of his desire to sign Newcastle and Nigerian forward OBAFEMI MARTINS. This will be a sign of strenghtening his forward line and it will surely be rewarding for the French tactician. Martins, we know is a hot striker, anytime, any day not minding the fact that his club was relegated last season. Martins, if finally signed by Arsene Wenger, will be the next Nigerian to be signed after Kanu Nwankwor who won laurels for Arsenal during his days.
