Liverpool's woe continues

The Anfield outfit has continued to unimpress on the pitch with their recent scoreless draw on thursday night at the Europa league. After a successful purchase by the new owners, Liverpool faithful have continued to pray for an upward turn of fortune in the club. Some quarters are calling for the sack of Hogdson and the immediate employment of former Barcelona coach, Frank Rikard. Only time will tell if this dream will eventually come true.

Rooney in

Wayne Rooney some hours ago completed a 5-year extension to his Manchester united deal after weeks of speculation in England. It will be recalled that Rooney who earlier declined to his unitèd contract extension due to lack of play time this season made some nasty comment which did not go down well with Alex Ferguson, but the friction at the old trafford club has ended with the recent contract extension. Rooney with the extension has entered the books as the current English man to receive over one hundred thousand pounds per week.
